AMIT SHAH, MD (Co-Founder)
Dr. Shah is a co-founder of Palmetto Medical Group and Integra Wellness Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Integrative Medicine. He has further training in Functional Medicine through IFM and Ayurveda through MAAA.
Dr. Shah is a highly experienced physician, with 26 years of practice in the field and highly regarded by his peers and patients. He was trained at and graduated from Yale University affiliated residency program at St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. His passion is in a truly integrative model of care providing cutting edge allopathic medical treatment when appropriate within a foundation of a comprehensive holistic Functional Medicine approach. His interests include painting, promotion of the arts, yoga, travel, and community outreach locally as well as internationally.
SHEILA NATARAJAN, MD (Co-Founder)
Dr. Natarajan is co-founder of Integra Rehabilitation Physicians and Integra Wellness Center. She is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Integrative Medicine. She is further trained in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine, Medical Acupuncture through UCLA, and Ayurveda through MAAA.
Dr. Natarajan received her undergraduate training at Davidson College as a Smith Scholar and went on to pursue her medical training at the UNC School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, NC where she was named a Riggins scholar placing her in the top two of her medical class. In addition, she graduated with the honor of Doctorate of Medicine with Distinction. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She has dedicated her career to helping patients heal the root cause of disease and dysfunction using a Functional Medicine model. Through her diverse trainings she is able to combine the best of traditional allopathic medicine with the more holistic-centered Eastern healing modalities. Her aim is not just to eradicate disease but to redefine the standard of health and help her patients achieve phenomenal wellbeing in body, mind, and spirit.
NIMISH PATEL, MD - Accepting patients at Palmetto Medical Group
Dr. Nimish Patel is board certified in Family Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University (UMDNJ). He specializes in Primary Care, Palliative Care, Geriatric Care, Holistic and Integrative Medicine, and Acute Rehabilitation Care, and is associated with several Assisted Living Facilities and Long Term Care Facilities in Charlotte and Rock Hill. He is also certified in Medical Esthetics.
SHEPHALI PATEL, MD - Accepting patients at Palmetto Medical Group
Dr. Shephali Patel is board certified in Family Medicine, Holistic and Integrative Medicine. SCOTT GREMILLION, MD (Director)
Dr. Scott Gremillion is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician who also holds a certificate in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. He is further trained in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Dr. Gremillion was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a BA in International Studies before serving his country as an officer in the United States Air Force. After completing his service, he received his medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC where he was selected as a Brody Scholar, a prestigious merit based scholarship, and a North Carolina Academy of Family Practice Scholar, an honor given to those in the state of NC who exemplify the holistic values of Family Medicine. Dr. Gremillion was also selected by his peers to become a member of the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society, a national honor given to those select physicians who exemplify humanistic and person-centered care. His Family Medicine residency was completed at Carolinas Medical Center (now Atrium Health) in Charlotte, NC.
Dr. Gremillion describes his philosophy of healing as follows, “Family Medicine is a specialty of wholeness, addressing all aspects of a person's life. I strive to assist and guide my patients through their lives and the medical system in a way that helps them feel engaged, empowered, and supported. I believe in a holistic system of healthcare that optimizes mind, body, and spirit.
